New Client Process

1. no obligation introductory meeting

This meeting allows our advisors to introduce our firm and have a conversation with you to discover your current financial situation and goals. In doing so, our advisors can work with you to determine if our investment methodology and overarching planning approach may be the right fit for your needs.

While some clients feel comfortable starting their onboarding paperwork immediately after this meeting, we understand that some like to consider the discussion, talk to their spouse, and consider additional questions before making their decision.

2. follow-up meeting

Should you make the decision to become our client, this meeting allows our advisors to meet your spouse (or other decision-makers), answer additional questions about our firm or processes, dive deeper into your goals, and explain the onboarding process.

3. onboarding paperwork

Your assigned client services representative will work with you to approve all applicable paperwork in order for our partnership to begin. This includes the following:

  • Our discretionary investment management contract
  • Custodian documents related to opening accounts, transferring assets, and assigning investment authority
  • Our brief risk assessment questionnaire

4. begin financial planning process

As soon as your time allows, you will meet your Financial Planning Advisor and Wealth Advisor for a discovery meeting that initiaties the development of your financial plan (learn more about that process here).

"

5. establish and review investment plan

As we work to develop your comprehensive financial plan, your Wealth Advisor, Financial Planning Advisor, and our Portfolio Management team will devise a personalized investment plan for you. Once established, your Wealth Advisor will review the plan with you, make adjustments, and address any investment constraints prior to implementation.

Constraints may include an established tax framework developed alongside your tax advisor or other strategies to reduce exposure to concentrated positions over time.

6. implement investment plan

After meeting with your advisor to understand your unique situation, our Portfolio Management team will implement your plan in a thoughtful and prudent manner. Our team monitors all companies in our client portfolios in real-time to keep your investments on track.

7. ongoing individual and firm-wide touchpoints

Individual touchpoints: On a quarterly basis, your portfolio will be reviewed and a quarterly report will be provided. Should you wish to have additional discussions, your Wealth Advisor, Financial Planning Advisor, and our tax team are always available to answer your questions and address any concerns.

In addition to direct conversations, we also will provide the following:

  • Quarterly newsletters
  • Semi-annual “State Of The Economy” webinars
  • Annual “Year-End Tax Update” webinar
