Ephraim Ulmer

WEALTH MANAGEMENT ADVISOR & PRINCIPAL

Ephraim Ulmer is a Wealth Management Advisor and Principal at Godsey & Gibb Wealth Management. Since joining Godsey & Gibb in 1991 through a merger with his firm, Ephraim has helped shape the firm’s long-term investment philosophy and client service model. In his role, he works closely with individuals and families to design carefully constructed equity and fixed income portfolios tailored to their goals. Ephraim emphasizes trust, attentive listening, and open communication, viewing each client relationship as a long-term collaborative partnership. In addition to his role of Wealth Management Advisor, Ephraim is also a Co-Chairman of the Board for Godsey & Gibb Wealth Management, through which he holds shareholder and board of director meetings and is actively involved in firm strategy and oversight.

With over five decades of experience in the investment advisory industry, Ephraim brings a seasoned and thoughtful perspective to financial decision-making and investment strategy. He has built his career around a client-first mindset with a focus on constructing portfolios that balance opportunity with long-term goals. His expertise lies in analyzing the economy and market trends, then using those insights to develop custom portfolio strategies aligned with each client’s objectives, risk tolerance, and stage of life.

Before joining Godsey & Gibb, Ephraim spent a decade as the Chief Investment Officer of his own investment management firm. In addition, he also previously managed a three-office statewide brokerage region for a national brokerage firm, where he was responsible for 22 brokers.

Ephraim holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Citadel and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina. He also completed the Securities Industry Institute Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Outside the office, Ephraim enjoys traveling, reading, collecting art, and spending time with friends and family. He has been involved with South Carolina Boys State since 1969 and served as the Executive Director of the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame for 27 years. He is also a recipient of the Order of the Palmetto, the highest civilian honor in the state of South Carolina. This award is presented by the governor and recognizes individuals for their personal contributions to the state.
