Mr. Gibb is Managing Director of Godsey & Gibb Associates and was a founding member of the firm in 1985, following a career in trust and investments that began in 1970. He and his firm specialize in equity and fixed income investment management for both taxable and nontaxable portfolios, with primary emphasis on family assets, trusts, and foundations. A graduate of Lynchburg College with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Mr. Gibb followed his undergraduate degree with graduate studies at the College of William and Mary. Prior to founding Godsey & Gibb Associates, Mr. Gibb held management positions such as Senior Vice President and Trust Group Manager with major Virginia and Tennessee trust and investment institutions.He served as the lead portfolio manager for the intermediate bond fund for the TVA Retirement System. In addition, he has served on numerous bank management committees including the asset/liability committee. Mr. Gibb and the firm are deeply involved with community philanthropic efforts. At present, Mr. Gibb serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Helen M. Clabough Foundation. In addition, Mr. Gibb has served on the Board of Trustees of Lynchburg College and as a member of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts' (VMFA) Business Council, which is dedicated to raising the profile of the VMFA within Virginia's business community. He has provided scholarships to the Richmond Art and Cultural Program (Pine Camp), the Richmond Symphony Summer Camp, and an endowment to the Claytor Nature Study Center at Lynchburg College.

Mr. Ulmer joined Godsey & Gibb Associates in 1991. He manages the firm’s Columbia office and manages portfolios for families, firms and foundations. He is a member of the Investment Committee and the Portfolio Management Committee. He has worked in the securities and investment management business since 1973. He was Vice President and statewide manager for a national brokerage firm, and later founded an investment management firm where he served as the Chief Investment Officer. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The Citadel, and graduated from the Law School at the University of South Carolina and the Securities Industry Institute at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Ulmer’s outside interests include alpine mountaineering, distance running, sea kayaking, backpacking and mountain biking. He serves on the Board of Directors of the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame, is a Past President and for the last six years has served as the Executive Director. He is a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Columbia and has served two terms as President of the congregational Council. Mr. Ulmer has been a Director of Palmetto Boys State since 1969 and is Chairman of the Board of the Friends of Palmetto Boys State Foundation. He also serves on the Development Board of the University of South Carolina School of Nursing. He has been a speaker at the Economic Outlook Conference at the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina and appeared as a guest commentator on South Carolina Educational Television.

Dan L. Savage is the Managing Director of Godsey & Gibb Associates. He joined the firm in 2006. He has seventeen years of experience in the financial services industry. In 1992, Dan started his career with Charles Schwab & Co. Inc. There, he was responsible for nearly five billion dollars of client assets. He served as Vice President and Branch Manager. Most recently, he managed the Charles Schwab office in Greenville, South Carolina and four offices in Virginia. Mr. Savage was regularly recognized for excellence in the areas of client service, business development, and community involvement. He has an extensive background in client education and strategic and tactical asset allocation to help clients meet their investment objectives. He has been instrumental in enhancing financial literacy in numerous communities in South Carolina and Virginia. Mr. Savage was the founder and sole-proprietor of a home improvement company. Additionally, he was an account executive for an optical company, worked for the postal service, and was an account executive for a food brokerage firm in the Midwest prior to his career in the financial services industry. Mr. Savage is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. He holds a BS degree in the Social Sciences, School of Continuing Studies. He was also a member of the National Optometric Association. He has been a sponsor of the Boys and Girls Club. He is a former Toastmaster member. Dan has been married to his wife Shelly for over fourteen years and they have raised five nieces and nephews. He is a member of Second Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia. He enjoys playing basketball, racquetball, and traveling.

Mr. Garrison has been with Godsey & Gibb Associates since 1994. He is responsible for portfolio management, as well as client services and communication. He is a member of the Portfolio Management Committee. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Garrison had fourteen years of experience in the manufacturing sector, where his responsibilities included financial analysis and budgeting, marketing and customer service, and divisional general management. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Washington and Lee University, and a Master of Public and Private Management degree from Yale University. Mr. Garrison enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and travel. He is a former member of the Alumni Board of Directors of Washington and Lee University, a Past President of the Richmond Chapter of the Washington and Lee Alumni Association, and a Past President, and current member, of the Board of Directors of Theatre IV in Richmond. He is an elder in the First Presbyterian Church in Richmond and a member of the National Eagle Scout Association. Mr. Garrison is also an Affiliate Member of the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR) and the Richmond Society of Financial Analysts (RSFA).

Dan joined Godsey & Gibb Associates in 2007 as Director of Research with over 10 years of investment industry experience. In his current role, he is responsible for research and analysis on the economy, the financial markets, individual securities, investment strategies and asset allocation. Prior to joining the firm, Dan previously served at a large broker/dealer and for the trust and asset management division of a major regional bank in several capacities including as a vice president and portfolio strategist, portfolio manager and equity research analyst. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business. Dan has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He is a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Virginia. Dan holds the Series 65 (Investment Advisor) from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Personally, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife, Laura, and their children Will and Mary Caroline. He and his family are members of All Saints Episcopal Church in Richmond, Virginia. He enjoys golf, tennis, and snow skiing.

Michael E. Kelly joined Godsey & Gibb Associates as a Senior Wealth Manager on January 15th, 2008. He also manages the firm’s Virginia Beach office. His addition represents a commitment on the part of the firm to serve the needs of it's growing base of clients in the Hampton Roads area. Michael brings with him an extensive knowledge of financial planning and wealth preservation strategies. He began his career in finance nearly 10 years ago with a financial planning firm on Long Island, New York, specializing in providing financial services and guidance to high net worth individuals, families and business owners. He continued his career locally as a financial consultant with an international brokerage firm and as a client relationship manager with a large national bank, further rounding out his financial skills in aiding high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients. He is a Certified Financial Planner and holds both an undergraduate and masters degree from Old Dominion University. Michael enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and their three children; Tyler, Brandon and Hope.

Ms. Dodson has been with Godsey & Gibb Associates since 1990. She is responsible for financial reporting, compliance, budget and audit preparation, accounts payable and receivable, client invoicing, general ledger maintenance, payroll, and insurance. She serves as Secretary to the Board of Directors. She has also been a Client Services Administrator. She holds an Associate’s degree in Business Administration from J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. In addition to activities with her husband and two young sons, Ms. Dodson enjoys dancing, fitness, and vacationing at the beach.

Mr. Burrow has worked in the Operations Management field since 1982. He also has an extensive technical background in IT systems applications, development and operational technical management. Mr. Burrow's primary focus as Director of Operations within the firm relates to the direction of all operational duties as well as systems management and development. Mr. Burrow is pursuing his BS in computer science and has several patents in use today by a national consumer electronics retail company.

Ms. Mays joined Godsey & Gibb Associates in 1999. She is responsible for the daily administration of Mr. Ulmer’s accounts, client service, and general office support in the firm’s Columbia office. Prior to joining the firm, her experience included marketing, public relations, and retail management. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Clemson University. Ms. Mays enjoys sports and home decorating, and serves as a volunteer for the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame.

Ms. Wilmore has been with Godsey & Gibb Associates since 1997. She is responsible for equity trading, as well as government and municipal bond trading, and serves as a liaison on trading issues with brokerage firms and custodian banks. Ms. Wilmore also supervises trade processing, income payments, and generation of client reports in addition to reconciliation of all brokerage firm and custodian statements. Prior to joining the firm, she had eleven years of experience in trust operations at a leading regional bank. Ms. Wilmore enjoys interior decorating and plants, and serves as a volunteer for the Richmond Animal League.

Lavinia Moxey joined Godsey & Gibb as a member of the Operations department in 2004. Her duties include account analysis, account reconciliation and report preparation. She has a BA ( Hons) in Literature and History from the University of Surrey in England. Her outside interests include her gardening , hiking with her husband Craig, and books. She enjoys spending time with Craig and her children Katy & Matt.

Brian joined Godsey & Gibb Associates in January 2007 in client services and administration. In his current role as Director of Systems and Operations he is responsible for the direction of all operational duties as well as systems management and development. Brian attended the University of Virginia and Virginia Commonwealth University with special emphasis in Economics and Finance. Prior to joining the firm, Brian worked as an auditor, compliance officer, and manager at Bank of America’s wholesale mortgage lending division for 8 years. He also has previous retail management experience. In his spare time, Brian enjoys hiking, fishing, and traveling.

Ms. McIntosh is Executive Assistant to Frank Gibb. She assists clients with account transactions, information and other services. She came to Godsey & Gibb Associates in 2009. Prior to joining the firm, she worked for an international trust company, where her experience included office and personnel management, marketing and journalism. She graduated from Montrose College in Cape Town, South Africa, and also holds a diploma in Public Relations from the Public Relations Institute of South Africa. She has partially completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Economics, Accounting and Business Management. She is a native of South Africa, and has lived in Richmond for 8 years. In her spare time, she enjoys reading non-fiction, writing for publication, teaching yoga, and gardening.

Linda assists clients with various account transactions, account information and other services, and is responsible for various administrative duties for our Richmond office. She came to Godsey & Gibb Associates in 2010. She graduated from University of Richmond in 2009 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Political Science and a minor in Business Administration. She is a native of Richmond, Virginia. Linda had three years experience as a bank teller prior to joining the firm. She enjoys running, dancing, and staying active in her spare time. |
