Our firm was founded in 1985 in Richmond, Virginia, by Frank B. Gibb, III and Joseph C. Godsey, Jr. Frank and Joe began their investment careers in trust banking in the late 1960s and early 1970s. They brought to Godsey & Gibb Associates--Investment Counsel a broad range of professional experience in investment and relationship management, as well as an investment discipline that was developed throughout the challenging financial markets of the mid and late 1970s. In 1991, Ephraim Ulmer joined the firm and became a principal and shareholder. Joe retired in 1998, and since that time Frank, Ephraim, and their team of investment professionals and support staff have continued the tradition of wealth management which Frank and Joe began. Today, our client base extends to over twenty states and the District of Columbia.
